School Uniform

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR TO SCHOOL?

At Hemyock Primary School we believe that wearing school uniform creates a sense of identity and belonging to our ‘school community. The school community places significant importance upon the wearing of a Hemyock school uniform. It is a very valuable sign that children have pride in belonging to the school community and in the team spirit that it creates. It reflects a tradition we believe to be ever more important in swiftly changing times.

No nail polish, added hair colours or make-up.

Green hair ties to match the school uniform. All long hair to be tied up please.

Pupils will be asked to remove jewellery if it is considered to be a health or safety risk to themselves or others. The staff will also ask pupils to cover up any studs exposed in activities with a safety risk. Please do not let your child bring valuables and unnecessary money to school. Mobile phones should not be brought into school, except in emergency situations and in agreement with the school. They are to be left with the office for safe keeping. It is important that children have an opportunity to drink, as dehydration can affect learning and concentration. Please provide a named water bottle daily.
