Year 2 curriculum:
Key Stage 1 SATs:
These assessments taken by children in Year 2 to gauge their early progress in English (reading, spelling, punctuation & grammar) and mathematics. These tests are designed to be low-pressure, often completed in a relaxed classroom setting. While the government recently made KS1 SATs optional, the Harbour School Partnership continues to administer them to gather trust-wide data, ensuring a consistent understanding of pupils' development across schools. The results help teachers tailor support and learning strategies, but they are just one part of a broader picture of a child's progress.
