Multiplication check:

The Year 4 Multiplication Check is a short, online assessment designed to measure how well children can recall their times tables up to 12 × 12. It takes place in June and consists of 25 quick-fire questions, with each answer needing to be typed within six seconds. The check helps schools identify where extra support may be needed but does not affect a child's overall maths grade. While regular practice is encouraged, the focus is on building confidence and fluency rather than creating pressure.
