Year 6 curriculum:
Key Stage 2 SATs:
are standardized assessments taken by children in Year 6 to measure their understanding of core subjects before they transition to secondary school. These tests cover English (reading, spelling, punctuation, and grammar) and mathematics, assessing both reasoning and arithmetic skills. While SATs provide schools with valuable insights into a child's progress, they are not the sole measure of ability, and results help inform future learning rather than determine a child's potential. The tests take place in May, and while preparation is important, maintaining a balanced approach ensures children feel confident and supported throughout the process.
