Harvest- Sunday 25th September 2016

Our school choir welcomed some new members this term. We are growing bigger every year! Only a few weeks into our new school year we performed at St Mary’s Church. We performed our version of ‘The Enormous Turnip’. We had so much fun learning the story and silly songs. The congregation thoroughly enjoyed our singing.

We are all very proud of the school choir at Hemyock Primary School. We had a busy month leading up to Easter, but all the children remained enthusiastic and positive despite the long rehearsals . Every audience we encountered on our tour were blown away with the choir’s confidence, presentation and beautiful singing voices. Some of the audiences requested another performance later in the year.

We better start practicing….WELL DONE EVERYONE!

School Fete July 2016

We had been preparing for the school fete performance for a long time. The choir loved the choice of songs for our summer term. You couldn’t stop them from practicing! We sang ‘Hopeful’, ‘Keep on moving’, ‘Someone’ and ‘Oath’. Our songs for the fete were chosen for their positive and uplifting lyrics about friendship and bullying.

Healthy Living Center- Cameo Club 24th March 2016

Our final Easter performance took place at the Healthy Living Center in Hemyock. Members of the Cameo club were delighted with the children’s performance of new and old songs. The children also spent some time talking to members of the Cameo club. Well done to all!

Chapel Cafe 23rd March 2016

Our KS2 choir sang their hearts out at Hemyock’s Chapel Cafe. The audience were amazed how confident the children. The children would like to thank the Baptist church for having them.

Easter House Day 18th March 2016

After a busy day of Easter craft, our school choir entertained spectators with a brilliant outdoor performance of ‘Mama Said’ , ‘Que Sera Sera’, ‘Sunshine Lollipops and Rainbows’ and ‘Ain’t Got Far To Go’. Although it was cold the children sang beautifully.

Rosemary Lane 9th March 2016

Well done to our KS2 choir who entertained the members of the Blackdown Support Group at Rosemary Lane Chapel. They were an absolute delight and enjoyed talking to the members afterwards.

Mothering Sunday Service 6th March 2016

Well done to our school choir who sang beautifully during the Mothering Sunday Service at St Mary’s Church. Some of the children from the choir wrote prayers and read poems to the congregation. They did our school proud.

Rosemary Lane 9th December 2015

We are so proud of the 17 pupils from our Christmas choir who preformed for the Blackdown Support Group at their Christmas Lunch at Rosemary Lane Chapel on Wednesday 9th December. The members were so impressed with their clear speaking voices as they each read out the story of the Nativity. They sang so beautifully and then mingled with the members to have a chat. Thank you to Miss Cole for all your hard work and thank you to Mrs Horsey, Mrs Young, Mrs Longmuir and Mrs Hunt who drove them there.

Christingle Service 6th December 2015

Forty two children sang in the Christmas choir at the Christingle Service at St Mary’s Church on Sunday 6th December.  Miss Cole and Mrs Cole were over whelmed with the amazing feedback about how well the children represented our school and sang their hearts out with such passion and pride, to a packed out congregation.
