Hemyock Primary School is a member of Ventrus Ltd, a Multi-Academy Trust.

Ventrus MAT includes an institution of secondary education, as well as institutions of primary education. Our aim is to deliver excellence in education through collaborative working and mutual accountability.

School leaders and the Headteachers work closely together to ensure that we deliver a curriculum which meets the needs of all pupils and that opportunities for our pupils are broad and challenging.

The Executive Leadership team at Ventrus Ltd, includes the CEO of the Trust, Mr Gary Chown and two Directors of School Improvement, Mrs Ashley Leeson and Mrs Claire Baillie.  The Executive team works with the headteacher to oversee and support school improvement to ensure that each school continues to provide an excellent education for our pupils.

Staff and governors at our school benefit hugely from working within a family of schools. Ventrus Ltd operates ‘Best Practice Networks’ in a variety of subjects, aspects and phases. The opportunity to work in partnership to shape and develop one’s own practice, and the practice of others, has a profound effect on the quality of education that we are able to provide at Hemyock Primary School.

For the children in Ventrus schools, there are regular opportunities to learn with children from our other schools. Whether it be on a school residential to London,  or at the annual Wilcombe Wobbler, our pupils benefit from the expertise and enthusiasm of a large group of talented and skilled teachers and teaching assistants.
